Natural Gas Storage Report - Jan 10
Posted: Thu Jan 10, 2013 11:34 am
Working gas in storage was 3,316 Bcf as of Friday, January 4, 2013, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 201 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 88 Bcf less than last year at this time and 320 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,996 Bcf.
This is VERY BULLISH. I was not expecting a draw much over 100 bcf.
If we get much colder weather in the second half of January (the current forecast) then we could see gas in storage move back near the 5-year range.
