Working gas in storage was 1,673 Bcf as of Friday, April 5, 2013, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 14 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 804 Bcf less than last year at this time and 66 Bcf below the 5-year average of 1,739 Bcf.

Smaller draw than what I expected, but still pushing storage further below the 5-year average.

We are now three weeks into the "Shoulder Season" and we still haven't seen our first increase in NG storage. Based on the weather in Houston today, we may see another small draw next week. If so, we will see storage fall over 100 bcf below the 5-yr average next week. I will provide a lot more details on this subject at tomorrow's EPG luncheon in Houston.
