iraqi oil goes chinese
Re: iraqi oil goes chinese
I have said many times, the Chinese should be paying for at least half the cost of our navy to protect their interests in the Persian Gulf.
Our goal as a nation should be to become North American energy independent by 2020. Then we can tell the Chinese "tag you're it" and turn the Middle East over to them. If the Muslims think we are bad, wait until the have to deal with the Chinese military.

I disagree that it is a loss. This deal enhances the possibility that Iraq will emerge as a nation and not fly apart. What do we care who buys the oil? It is a totally fungible commodity.k1f wrote:Chinese / Iraqi oil: one more sign of the self-destructive US invasion of Iraq--not the absurd rationalizations by US officials.
