North Dakota surpasses 800,000 bpd in May. The North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources reported on Monday that preliminary estimates for crude oil production in North Dakota reached 810,129 bpd compared to the state's estimate for April of 793,867 bpd. The state said there were 8,915 actively producing wells in May compared to 8,772 in April.

Keep in mind that this is total state production, not just the Bakken.

The industry has invested several hundred $Billion to reach this level.

450,000 bopd moving out of North Dakota by rail, which is amazing to me. More proof that big money in oil makes things happen.
