GPOR is up 350% since I added it to the Sweet 16 on 1-1-2010. It is up 35% this YTD with a lot more to come if the company can achieve the production guidance it has been giving to the market. GPOR is expected to report a big increase in production from Q1 to Q2. EPS won't be very impressive, but they will be adding a lot of proven reserves this year. Markwest Energy Partners (MWE) is a midstream MLP that will benefit greatly from GPOR's drilling program for several years to come.
Gulfport may have the best acreage in the Utica Shale. One of our other Sweet 16 companies told me this over a year ago.
"So far, Gulfport Energy (NASDAQ: GPOR ) has had the best success rate in targeting the liquids rich part of the play. The company is spending $499 million of its $570 million capital budget this year on the Utica. Those funds will help drive the company's production from just over 7,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day last year to more than 21,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day this year. This is mainly due to the fact that Gulfport has been drilling some of the best wells in the play."

Note that RRC also holds a lot of Utica Shale acreage but most of it is gas.
Gulfport has HUGE potential in Canada, so it is more than just a play on the Utica Shale. Start you research by reading our profile on GPOR, which can be found under the Sweet 16 Tab.
