In late 2013, the company made a significant oil discovery in Peru that effectively doubled its oil reserves, yet its share price has not reflected this significant growth in Gran Tierra’s core assets.

Gran Tierra Energy (GTE) agrees to sell its Argentina business to Madalena Energy (MDLNF) for ~$69M.
The Argentina unit contributed average production of 3,028 bbl/day net after royalties in 2013, and spent $6.5M of its 2014 planned Argentina capital program of $48M in Q1 2014.
