Range Resources Is Well Positioned To Grow

Dec. 30, 2014 11:04 AM ET | About: Range Resources Corporation (RRC)

Summary
•The company is growing its production despite a fall in the commodity prices.
•Less than expected natural gas prices during the fourth quarter might force some companies to cut forecasts.
•Range Resources has an efficient cost structure and high-yielding assets, which should allow it to tackle short-term weakness in the commodities market.
•The demand for NGLs will continue to rise in the global markets, which should enhance the company's revenues from the NGLs segment.

Go to the RRC website and take a look at the maps at the end of their current presentation that show the Sweet Spots in the Marcellus and Utica. Then go to Gastar's website and look at were their leasehold in the area sits.

I talked to SWN today (trying to talk them into hosting a luncheon for us). They believe that the North American natural gas market will be much better heading into 2016. I agree. As the U.S. active rig count drops, so will the gas supply. In Q4 2015 the U.S. will begin to export LNG and the export rate will ramp up pretty fast.

Natural gas prices are low today, but they won't be forever.

If you have a long-term investment horizon, RRC is a screaming buy today. They control a large block of the Marcellus and Utica, plus they have top tier management and technical teams.
