Does anyone here follow Nexen? I listened to their recent Investors'Day webcast, and it seems as though they finally have a plan to get Long Lake up to full production. The North Sea is a huge longterm cash flow generator, and offshore Africa will be soon. They have valuable holdings in the Gulf, and the prospect of a renewal of their leases in Yemen seems good. The risk/reward ratio seems attractive to me. And of course it's a very "oily" company.

Adam;

Nexen (NXY) is a former Sweet 16 company so I do look at it from time-to-time. Frankly, it just got too big and complex for me to analyse. I have a friend inside the company (he used to work with me at Hess) and I have bee working on him to get Nexen to host a luncheon for up. It is a first class company.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
