Contrarian buying?

Post by farrell90 »

When the dust settles I plan to pick up some bargains. I am looking for long term holds:
1. gasser probably SWN or RRC
2. Integated oil RDS, BP, or XOM I bought RDS a few mos ago in the mid 60's but sold when it broke 60. BP is probably the better stock but Its legal risk seems never ending
3. high yielder/MLP looking at WMB, TRGP { I like the NGLs story but the stock has performed terribly}, Gastar prefered, I own BBEP and may hold my nose and buy more. It is well hedged X 3 years and I can not see this down turn lasting that long
4. LNG play LNG and D although D has held up well. I have owned both in the past.
5 Speculative/ takeover candidate..Ideas

Looking forward to comments

Take a look at the 30-day chart for LPI. I think someone is building a position in LPI to make a run at the company. LPI is in the Sweet 16, so read our recent profile on it.

This is pure speculation on my part.
