Susan & I attend a church in Richmond, Texas (ten miles south of Sugar Land). They have a group call "Attack Poverty" that focuses on helping people in Richmond, which is an area of very poor people. That area has been hit hard by the flooding. Here is a note that I received this morning. If you'd like to help this worthy cause, you can donate at the link below. - Dan

Dear Dan ,
As you have seen or experienced firsthand we are experiencing a major flood event here in Fort Bend County! The entire community of Riveredge (located under the Bridge in Richmond on the banks of the Brazos River) is under water!
In the communities we serve, the hardest hit was North Rosenberg. 182 boat rescues were conducted and 39 homes are under water there. North Richmond experienced a lot of water damage as well but not too many homes were directly affected. Fortunately, none of our Resource Centers took on water, leaving us in a great position to serve others.
What can you do?
PRAY
SERVE at BF Terry High School located at 5500 Ave. N. Rosenberg, TX This is the primary distribution center for the next 30 days. It will be open from 9am to 7pm daily.
DONATE NOW to support the revitalization work that Attack Poverty will be conducting once the waters recede.
You can do that here: www.attackpoverty.webconnex.com/donatenow
SIGN-UP to serve at our Mission Weeks in Sundown June 6-10, North Richmond June 13-17 and North Rosenberg's new date of June 27-July 1

Thank you for your prayers as we work with others to coordinate these efforts to serve our community!
