As I have posted here MANY TIMES > Wall Street will not focus on the "gassers" until winter heating season approaches.
Gulfport is going to be fine, here is why.
1. Natural gas and NGL prices are going to ramp up into year-end.
2. Gulfport's production is going to be A LOT higher in Q4, when they can sell their unhedged production for a hell of a lot more than they can today.
I have followed Gulfport for many years. It is an incredible growth story with first class management. They are very good about giving production guidance and they usually beat their guidance. Their production guidance for full-year 2016 is 695,000 to 730,000 Mcf per day. Production in the first half of 2016 averaged 678,483 Mcf per day. Soooo...., it is clear to me that they are going to report strong second half production growth.
Rising production + rising commodity prices = Wall Street attention.
Trying to find a reason for daily share price movements can drive you crazy.
