Active Rig Count - Nov 11

The North American active rig count increased by 21, but it was all in Canada.
United States:
> Rigs drilling for oil increased by 2 to 452, compared to 574 a year ago and 1,609 at the peak in October, 2014
> Rigs drilling for gas declined by 2 to 115, compared to 193 a year ago
Canada:
> Rigs drilling for oil increased by 13 to 89, compared to 68 a year ago
> Rigs drilling for gas increased by 10 to 87, compared to 108 a year ago
218 of the 268 rigs drilling in Texas are in the Permian Basin. 47.2% of all the rigs working in the United States are working onshore Texas.
Outside of the U.S. and Canada there were 920 active rigs working in October, compared to 1,111 a year ago.
