A significant winter snow storm is now expected to hammer North Carolina and Virginia. Heaviest snow is expected Sunday and Monday. Record lows (below zero) are now forecast for a large area of NC and Virginia. If the low pressure area hugs the east coast, NYC and other large cities up the coast may also see 5 to 8 inches of snow.
When winter storms like this move across the South (snow in S. Louisiana) they cause big draws from natural gas storage because 99% of homes in the South heat with gas. We are expecting below freezing temps in Houston tonight and Saturday night.
OKC and Tulsa also expected to get a lot of snow. (I lived in Tulsa for 20+ years).
