Core Labs has offices all over the world and they know what is really going on out there. You should all definitely listen to their CC.

Core Labs is a first class company, but I am an "upstream guy" so I stick to what I know. Core Labs is one of the most respected companies in the industry.

Re: Corelab
"Applying the 3.3% net decline curve rate to the worldwide crude oil production of approximately 85 million barrels a day means that the planet will need to produce an additional 2.8 million barrels of new oil by this date next year to maintain current worldwide productive capacity totals."

The question is what is the current production capability of the world. IMO the 2.8 million barrels of decline do not have to be made up by new production. Much of it can be made up from existing capacity that is off line. I have no idea what that number is but my entire adult life has witnessed shortage predictions be wrong far more often than not.

Dan

In assessing Core Labs, one has to ponder the companies that will outsource to Core Labs and those that keep those services in house. Are companies leaning towards outsourcing or building up internal services? It would seem a better move to outsource, but curious about your input on industry trends.

Thanks
