Note on the NOG Yahoo message board:

“Howard Weil has raise their price target on NOG to $34/share from $32/share.”

It appears the last of the weak hands sold out this morning.

once i see a bottom confirmed i am thinking strongly about buying back in--at a lower price. may go after some cheap calls instead.

Any of you that hold NOG should read this. I could not have said it better myself. The attach on NOG last week was ridiculous and filled with errors.

I will add one thing. Depletion expense includes future development costs, which are estimate at the end of each year by the company working with independent reserve engineers. It is very common to see a spike in Q4 depletion during a period of growing reserves and increasing oilfield service costs.

NOG continues to be weak. Any thoughts on the quality of their land holdings vs the key operators in the region?

NOG has traded down to its 200 day moving average for first time since last August. Anyone think its worth betting on a bounce??

NOG should have solid first quarter results. Everything was down today on the dip in oil prices and the general market sell-off.
I just dropped NOG and EOG back to the Watch List to make room for GTE and ROSE, which both appear to have more near-term upside to me.

with a very bullish mkt, nog's response was timid at best. it has shown several "bottoms" along the way down to this level.

i would wait for some move with authority. imo, fwiw,

When it hit the 200 day moving avg the other day I bought. Its been a good deal so far. About $0.50 per day.
Looking at the dip price @ the 200 dma line versus the target price it was the best deal I saw.
I hoping to hold everything until Cinco de Mayo , I will re-evaluate at that time when all are reporting.
tks
