Oil Storage Report - April 26

U.S. crude stocks fell last week as refineries hiked output, while gasoline stocks increased and distillate inventories rose, the Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday.

> Crude inventories fell by 3.6 million barrels in the week to April 21, compared with analysts' expectations for an decrease of 1.7 million barrels. Crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub fell by 1.2 million barrels.

> Refinery crude runs rose by 347,000 barrels per day. Refinery utilization rates rose by 1.2 percentage points.

> Gasoline inventories rose by 3.4 million barrels. < Happened each year as refiners ramp up for summer driving season.

> Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, rose by 2.7 million barrels.

> U.S. crude oil imports rose last week by 515,000 barrels per day.
