In the next few days, the House plans to vote on a new $190 billion spending bill. The bill, called the “American Jobs and Closing Tax Loopholes Act,” will add $134 billion in “emergency” deficit spending to our broke nation’s tab. I know $134 billion doesn’t sound like a lot these days, but it’s almost as much as the entire federal deficit for 2007. Look how far we’ve come.
