Re: EIA Natural Gas Storage Report - May 23
When commodity prices make big moves higher, the "Paper Traders" tighten up their stop loss orders. This is especially true leading up to storage reports and the monthly OPEC and IEA reports for oil. Sell offs in the NYMEX futures market are often triggered by one big sales that causes a l...

Oil Price: HFI Research turning bullish on oil price
Note this morning from HFI Research, which I have a lot of respect for: It wasn't long ago that everyone was bullish on oil. Bloomberg published an article noting the possibility of triple-digit oil prices this summer and we tweeted at that time that it was not a bullish indicator. Following today's...

Crescent Energy (CRGY) Valuation Update - May 23
Crescent Point is being added to our Sweet 16 Growth Portfolio. It replaces Talos Energy (TALO). I'm just moving TALO back to my Watchlist until after hurricane season. Re: Why are gas companies up so much in 2024
I heard at the Dallas energy conference that some analysts are forecasting that U.S. ngas prices could exceed $7.00/MMBtu by Q4 2025. Raymond James forecast is now $7.50 for 2026.
DEC25 NYMEX contract for HH ngas closed today at $4.255/MMBtu
HH ngas actually exceeded $13.00 in 2005 and 2008.

Re: Why are gas companies up so much in 2024
Electricity demand growth for AI data centers will increase demand for U.S. natural gas by an estimated 8 Bcfpd over the next two years. Over 100 new natural gas fired power plants will be needed to meet that level of demand + many states are already seeing demand for electricity exceed supply. Texa...

Pom Rescue
We financially support a wonderful organization called Pom Rescue. We have adopted two dogs (Ollie and Ziggy) from Pom Rescue. Below is a note we got this morning. It's National Rescue Dog Day. Rescuing is HARD! We see how horrible dogs can, and are, treated. We spend a lot of time in our cars, pick...
