Dan, i've read articles lately claiming that the white sand producers are doomed because brown sand, which is cheaper will replace the more expensive white sand. I'm curious as to what your thoughts are?

Has oil bottomed?

Jeff Gundlach during his presentation yesterday stated that in his opinion oil prices bottomed yesterday. He thinks we could see a 50% bounce from here, but he notes that would only bring oil back to $45/bbl, which wouldn't be enough to save many oil companies.

Joe Bastardi's Saturday 1/9 update is a must listen. He's expecting a sharp weather reversal bringing in very cold temperatures throughout most of the country. I think you're correct. SXE is up 27% today on no news. Could also be some spillover from OKS very bullish announcement yesterday, of course. But MEMP is 12% and shouldn't be affected by pipeline fundamentals.

Dan, I never said MEMP would have a significant drop in cash flows. But surely that's what RJ was indication when they cut their rating and predicted a reduction in the distribution.

The units have really hit the skids, slicing under $10 yesterday. The action in the units suggests a distribution cut, when the distribution is next announced, which should be early next week. Thoughts anyone?
