Interesting background article on Iranian hydrocarbon industry. Reading this piece one would never know Iran was a totalitarian state that hangs dissidents and threatens other states in the region through proxy military forces and is attempting to develop nuclear armed missiles that have no peaceful purpose. The article does, however, give a sense of the snails pace that development of the country's hydrocarbon industry is likely to proceed.
