BHI U.S. Rig Count

For the week ending 5/23/2014 the BHI domestic rig count: The overall U.S. rig count was down 4 rigs w/w to 1,857 rigs. The U.S. land rig current count of 1,797 rigs is 101 rigs above the ’13 exit count of 1,696 rigs.

I think the active rig count will go up during the 2nd half of this year as a lot of the E&P companies I follow say the are adding rigs. IMO the outlook for the onshore drillers is bright. I like PDS, PTEN, HP, NBR and UNT.
