It looks like a full blown civil war spreading in the Middle East and North Africa. If fighting spreads into Saudi Arabia it will threaten the global oil supply. This is really a big deal. - Dan
SANAA, Yemen — Saudi Arabia and its Persian Gulf allies launched air attacks early Thursday in neighboring Yemen, after Shiite rebels believed backed by Iran swept toward that country’s second-largest city and forced the president to flee.
The Saudi ambassador to the United States, Adel al-Jubeir, made the announcement on Wednesday evening in Washington. He said the operation began at 7 pm EDT in order “to prevent Yemen from falling into the hands of the Houthis,” the rebels.
Saudi Arabia had massed troops and dispatched tanks to its border with Yemen, a sign of its intense unease at the advances by the Iranian-backed rebels.

Re: Saudi Arabia at war
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia has mobilized 150,000 troops and some 100 fighter jets to rout Iran-linked fighters that have taken over swathes of neighboring Yemen, a security adviser to the kingdom told NBC News on Thursday.
The adviser, Nawaf Obaid, did not say whether any of Saudi troops had crossed the border into Yemen as part of the kingdom's military intervention to arrest Yemen's rapidly deteriorating crisis. But he said Saudi Arabia was in "complete control" of Yemeni airspace after launching airstrikes overnight and started implementing a no-fly zone.
The conflict risks becoming a proxy war between Sunni Muslim states and Shiite Iran, which Saudi Arabia accuses of supporting the Houthi rebels and trying to increase its influence throughout the region.
Iran quickly condemned the airstrikes launched by Saudi Arabia and its allies as "very dangerous."

Re: Saudi Arabia at war
this is escalating daily, and the MSM in the U.S. pays little attention to it. Iran sending warships off the Yemen coast, and is reported to be resupplying the Shiite rebels by airlift. The rhetoric between Iran and SA is also escalating daily.
