Record-breaking global heat so far again this year, but not in the neighborhood:

Re: heat
I don't recommend the Huffington Post for accurate weather forecasts. Try listening to Dr. Joe Bastardi's weekend updates. The link to his WeatherBell.com website is: http://www.weatherbell.com/
Dr. Joe is the best long-range weather forecaster that I've seen. A lot of upstream companies subscribe to his premium service.
I will warn you that Dr. Joe does not buy into the Global Warming crap. He believes in real science.

Re: heat
Actually the Post is merely reprinting a wire service story (AP) that quotes the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. And it's not a forecast but a summary of what thermometers have said so far this year. It has nothing to do with Joe Bastardi unless he forecast (or didn't see) the record-breaking global temps.
