EOG Resources (EOG)

Post by dan_s »

I have updated my EOG forecast model and it will be posted to the EPG website later today.

EOG is the largest company in the Sweet 16 and definitely deserves to be a "Core Holding" in everyone's portfolio. Despite being so large, it is one of the easiest companies to forecast since they give very accurate guidance.

My valuation is now $101.00/share compared to First Call's price target of $91.86.

EOG only has a small amount of their future production hedged, so it does have more exposure to commodity prices. Even at today's oil & gas prices, EOG should generate close to $4 Billion in cash flow from operations in 2016. It is the largest lease holder in the Eagle Ford and it has large positions in the Bakken and Permian Basin.
