Continental Resources (CLR)

Canaccord Genuity has raised their price target for CLR to $50/share.

My valuation of CLR is $44.35, but it may deserve a much higher valuation because they have something really BIG in their SCOOP/STACK play. CLR has recently reported some monster horizontal well results in Blaine County, OK. If repeatable, CLR and DVN have a lot of upside for us. NFX is a bit further east in STACK, but they are also getting outstanding well results.

I have been pounding on the STACK play here for almost a year. This is turning out to be a great call as I think STACK is becoming a MAJOR oil field for the United States.

I talked to Russ after they closed the common stock offering. They are working on an 8-10 drilling program to prove up their leasehold. I did not ask about the Holiday Road well since I do not like to put CEOs in an awkward position. They will release well results when they announce the drilling program.
