North American Active Rig Count increased by 21 to 607, compared to 1,095 a year ago.

United States:
> Rigs drilling for oil increased by 15 to 396, compared to 672 a year ago and 1,609 in October of 2014. < 13 added in Texas
> Rigs drilling for gas increased by 2 to 83, compared to 211 a year ago

Canada:
> Rigs drilling for oil increased by 5 to 65, compared to 100 a year ago
> Rigs drilling for gas stayed at 60, compared to 111 a year ago.

We are still a long way from the number of active rigs needed to reverse falling production.
