The North American active rig count increased by 11 last week.

United States:
> Rigs drilling for oil increased by 2 to 418, compared to 641 a year ago and 1,609 at the peak in October, 2014
> Rigs drilling for gas increased by 3 to 92, compared to 197 a year ago

Canada:
> Rigs drilling for oil increased by 2 to 77, compared to 66 a year ago
> Rigs drilling for gas increased by 5 to 61, compared to 110 a year ago
