Oil almost $54, but most of my holdings' total value stuck about where it was at about $50 - gpor and lone not helping of course.

Trading during the holidays is always a bit weird. What could happen early in January is more fund managers rotate some money into the energy sector. Plus, I am expecting Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE to announce big production cuts early in January to get things moving.

Hang tough with GPOR. I think the market will like their acquisition in SCOOP once the dust settles.

JONE made a smaller acquisition in that same area and the stock sold off and then went up more than 70% once JONE got out and told analysts why they bought it.
