Tropical Storm heading to Texas

It now looks like a tropical storm will hit the Texas Gulf Coast Wednesday night (June 21).

I was worried that this would impact our luncheon in Houston on Friday, but it now looks like the heavy rain will end on Thursday.

Tuesday morning; The path of the storm is now shifting west and the eye may come onshore very early Thursday morning (1AM to 3AM) near Galveston. Chances of this becoming a hurricane have increased. Heavy rains should stay east of Houston. By Thursday evening the winds will die down and most rain will be in Louisiana. Big risk now is flooding.

I watch this stuff closely because I live just 50 miles from the GOM.
