The following note is from Tina Sansone, the wife of one of our Founding Members.
Hi Dan and Susan,
Sorry it has taken me so long to write you and thank you for all that you have done to help with Friends of Vince and our effort to help the kids affected by the flood. To date we have collected $12,550.00, with the majority of it being from EPG members. Please let them know how much we appreciate them. I have sent each an email and will send another with a tax receipt later this year. So far we have helped 15 different families with clothes, diapers, autistic toys, etc. We have also stocked the food pantry at Jackson elementary in Rosenberg. We still have the majority of the money left to help these families when they get back into their homes. Most are still living in hotels and have lost everything. Please keep us in your prayers so we can make sure the people that need it the most will get helped.
God bless you both!!!
Love, Tina
-----------------------------------
Thousands of families in the Houston area have lost everything. Tina helps families in the Richmond/Rosenberg area that was hard hit by the record flooding along the Brazos Bayou, which BTW is only a half mile from my home. We are protected by a levee system, but parts of Richmond were totally destroyed. Many homes are gone, washed away by the rushing flood waters. Tina and Sam's home had over a foot of water in it.
If you'd like to help some really needy people, knowing that 100% of your donation goes to people in need, then send what you can to "Friends of Vince" at the website below.
