Oil and gas storage reports - Oct 12

On the surface both reports were as expected.

U.S. oil production down 81,000 bbl per day
Refinery inputs up just a bit
Gasoline inventories up about 2.5 million bbls
Distillates down about 1.5 million bbls

We need a cold November to push up gas prices

Marshall Adkins very sensible as always. But there's still plenty of argument that oil prices are likely to be capped:
ie, that the price overshoot may be tame and short-lived:
