There is just a lot of fear in this market and most of it has no basis in fact.

I was a guest on Jim Puplava's "Financial Sense" radio show today for about 30 minutes. It is clear that the average investor holds a lot of the fears I talk about in the article above, plus they think oil needs to be $100/bbl before these companies can make money. As you can see by the solid Q2 results being reported, the good upstream companies can make profits at today's oil and gas prices.
Today, oil is down a bit so the share prices have pulled back.
