Old Joe best be very careful with Russia

Post by dan_s »

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the financial penalties imposed on his country by the West amount to a declaration of war as Russia continues its attacks on Ukraine.

"These sanctions that are being imposed, they are akin to declaring war," Putin told a group of flight attendants near Moscow on Saturday, according to The Associated Press. "But thank God, we haven't got there yet."

In response to Russia's invasion in Ukraine, Western countries have put severe restrictions on Russia's central bank, barred companies from doing business in Russia, and have begun seizing oligarchs' yachts and luxury properties abroad.

Putin also said that any attempt to install a no-fly zone in Ukraine would cause catastrophic consequences for Europe and the world.

NATO has rejected Kyiv's request for a no-fly zone, reasoning that the step would provoke Russia into a waging a larger war that could pit the U.S. and its allies against the nuclear-armed country.

In a video posted on social media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy slammed NATO over the decision.

In the Middle Ages the expression "the hue and the cry went up" meant people were angered and there would be serious actions coming. 3 times in the last 2 days adults my age, approaching 70 here, start talking to me saying " can you believe what's going on, oil prices and all?" Sadly, I say it is going to get tougher for all. Regime change in the US
must come at some point. But who still trusts the voting process?

I will continue to get my energy forecast from Dan/EPG, not Jen Psaki or Sandy Cortez.

Buckle up and get vocal all.

I had an hour long discussion with a petroleum engineer last week who admitted that he voted for Biden just because he did not like Trump's "style". I can't believe anyone with a brain votes for the President of the United States based on looks or style. I don't care if Trump dyes his hair pink and wears a t-shirt of tuxedo to work. I care about policies and track record. Business sense should also be a requirement for the office of president.

Trump has leadership skills and he put America first.

I still can't believe the party that supported the Defund the Police movement actually won. Voters are going to pay the price for their poor decision. Prices for everything are going way up. Inflation is the worst "tax" of all for the poorest among us.

BTW the sanctions against Russia will hurt consumers a lot more than they hurt Putin.

Good points Mr Bill and Dan!

People will learn the hard way due to their poor choices.

Perhaps, yes perhaps, we will see a silver lining. Brandon, Obama, Hillary and Bill's chicken are coming home to roost
on steroids. Madame Pelosi said "embrace the suxx". Hope all their supporters enjoy the side effects.
