Unhedged small opportunities

Post by RTaber1 »

When oil goes to $140, which is your small cap portfolio was the most unhedged to take advantage of those high prices?

On the other hand, which of your list are most hedged?

Thank you.

CLR, MGY and MNRL have none of their oil hedged. Hemisphere Energy (HMENF) is highly leveraged to oil prices and after August very little of their oil is hedged.

As I have shown you in my last podcast, there is a table at the bottom of each forecast/valuation model that shows you how much each company has hedged and what types of hedges that they use. Plus, I have added a section in the lower right hand of each macro driven Excel spreadsheet that allows you to plug in the oil and natural gas price assumptions and the model will automatically update the stock valuation. Your homework is to download one forecast model and spend 30 minutes to understand it. The models on the EPG website are VALUABLE TOOLS, but you must take the time to learn how to use them.

Or you can just trust that my stock valuations, based on my oil & gas price deck are accurate.

Trust but verify!

OXY is unhedged and Warren Buffet likes it which is icing on the cake.

The company stated they would buy back 3 billion in shares (at 60 thats 50 m shares 5 % of the o/s shares)
They will do that over the next 3 months. The name was $ 74 before I don't know what hit it but it affected everyone.

I added to MRO, MGY, ESTE, and AR on the dip..call me stoopid :geek:

In shipping I added to STNG & Trmd

They are trading like no one needs diesel or gasoline
