sc 13g filings

Post by setliff »

are rampant today with sweet 16 members, mind, exxi, dnr, and gte all participating. some have had several like mind and dnr. large accumulations are occuring.

from the watch list axas has had three filed in last several days.

mind has had 3 filed today affecting over 11% of their shs.

this has to be positive for these equities.

well, when a big money outfit(usually funds) decides to take a significant position ( i thought it was 5%, but several of these are ~3%) in a company they are required to file a sc 13g form proclaiming its position.

i think its bullish because it represents heavy buying. it could represent an intent to buy the company, i think. i'm not an expert on all the uses of the form.

from investopedia----

Investopedia explains 'Schedule 13G'
To be able to file a 13G instead of a 13D, the party must own between 5% and 20% in the company. It must also be clearly understood that the party acquiring the stake in the company is only a passive investor, and does not intend to exert control. If these criteria are not met, and if the size in the stake exceeds 20%, a 13D must be filed.
