Gear energy news
Re: Gear energy news
Interesting news. Thanks for posting. Good to have a company looking to maximize shareholder value.
Re: Gear energy news
Thanks for the tip. From everything I can tell the risk-reward imbalance seems to be the greatest (in favor of reward) for Canadian juniors right now. Are these Canadian juniors just so undiscovered or does the market needs to see Q3 and Q4 earnings reassurance first?

Up 7 % today Best Canadian small cap , Hemisphere is in 2nd. Inplay 4th
The catalyst before today's news was the company had instituted a 1 cents dividend per month 12 cents annual, they couldn't keep it up with relatively low prices h1 2023 and summer drilling plan so they halved it, recall that crude avg'd $76 for July. Today's spot is $93. Retail punished it big time for the dividend slash.
Moving forward those wells are coming on in last 4 months , so higher volumes, and now, right on cue with higher prices. wti spot is 93 today. So we have a realization price $17 higher and more volume projected to grow from 5408 bbd in August to 5700-5900 average for year . That means they have to do 5800-5900 for rest of year>>>from current 5408 to >> 5850 last 4 months
So by my calculations they will be debt free by year end.
All of these mini caps are on sale. The other thing I like is Gear puts out a monthly highlight newsletter so you can see how they are doing relative to forecast. When you get a chance read it. It's excellent as to content and clarity

These small cap mini's are dominated by retail. Retail doesn't like dividend cuts
Today's news is they hired someone to explore strategic actions> that's icing on the cake
Well respected HFIR analyst (wang) is on their board and he has been personally buying back shares. Ive been watching it for months and finally took the splurge on the price weakness.
That's why you pay me the big bucks to find these gems
Ps I bought MRO today on Chuck recommendation which was also mentioned by well know analyst Paul Sankey. Ty Chuck! GPOR & SBOW are on the short list watch as well. Want NG confirmation over $ 3

Re: Gear energy news
Another dividend paying Canadian favorite which also happens to be a gasser is Peyto Exploration, PEYUF. Its up 11.4% in last 30 days and pays a monthly dividend of CAD $.11 per month which equates to about a $1 US per year or about a 10% yield on stock that is currently priced about $10 per share. Funny that my gassers have performed very well recently and a year from now I expect them to really rip. I believe it is really impossible to predict how cold or mild winter will be and regardless, I believe the gassers have received the memo and are being very disciplined in their current drilling. Most of the remaining solvent gassers are well capitalized and will reap huge rewards in the days ahead imho. Like Gear, Peyto provides essentially the same kind of monthly report as Gear. Very transparent company that I have held for years and I rarely look at it since it is so consistent not that it hasn't suffered ups and downs from commodity prices, It just keeps on chugglin.
