What happens if Harris is elected?

Post by dan_s »

Note on July 24 from HFI Research

The catalog of Kamala Harris’s history on energy policy is as thin as the listing of her accomplishments as Joe Biden’s ‘Border Czar,’ which is to say it is bereft of anything of real substance.

But the queen of word salads and newly minted presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party has publicly endorsed many of her party’s most radical and disastrous energy-related ideas while serving in various elected offices, both in her energy basket-case home state of California and in Washington, DC. What Harris’s statements add up to is potential disaster for America’s future energy security.

"The Vice President's approach to energy has been sophomorically dilettantish, grasping not only at shiny things such as AOC's Green New Deal but also at the straws Americans use to suck down the drinks they need when she starts talking like a Valley Girl,” Dan Kish, Senior Research Fellow at DC-based energy think tank Institute for Energy Research, told me in an email this week. “To be honest, she's no worse than many of her former Senate colleagues who have helped cheer on rising energy costs and the fleeing American jobs that accompany them. She doesn't seem to understand the importance of reliable and affordable domestic energy, good skilled jobs or the national security implications of domestically produced energy but maybe she will go back to school on the matter. No doubt on her electric school bus."

Reuters/IPSOS poll has her beating Trump 44-42% yet the betting markets have Trump with a 64% chance of winning. Which do you believe? I believe the pollsters will continue to oversample Democrats to make the polls look close enough so they can cheat ala 2020.

Most here have likely already seen this theory.

Some think the Democrats just prefer the candidate (Harris) that can remain within the margin of error in the polls, so they will have an easier time with those late arriving "mail in ballots" in the swing States that suddenly change the count in their favor, as happened 4 years ago. The thinking is the Courts would be less willing to intervene after the election challenge lawsuits are filed by Trump, if the poll numbers were close.

Joe Biden's poll numbers were sinking fast, so he had to go.
