KGEI has just hit a 52 Week High Top Stock Choice by Petr Economist

Post by Cliff_N »

KGEI has just hit a 52 week high. Top pick by Petroleum Economist (aka. Harry) for 2025. Took some good positions last week, very pleased. Also invested 2 years ago when it was trading at $4, when suggested by Dan.

KGEI is still trading below my current valuation of $9.50.

I recommended it to Harry in mid-2024.

A month ago, a highly respected energy sector analyst called me about Kolibri. A few days later he sent out a detailed report on KGEI to his wealthy "clients", since then the share price is up ~40%.

Kolibri is an example of how under-valued small-caps can take off when you least expect it. All it takes is a good well result (i.e. - Alicia Renee HZ wells) and/or a respected analysts like David Snow bringing it to the attention of his "clients".

All ten companies in our Small-Cap Growth Portfolio are profitable and have the potential for big moves this year. Six are trading below book value today. Five are trading below 2X 2024 operating cash flow per share (BTE.TO, REI, ROK.V, RBY.TO, VTLE)

The Canadian companies are under the dark cloud of "FEAR of Trump Tariffs". My opinion is that it is unlikely that Trump will enforce the tariffs on Canada's oil & gas exports to the U.S.

I expect Hemisphere Energy (HMENF) to make a big move if the Marsden Polymer Flood Pilot is successful.

ROK Resources (ROKRF) should make a big move when all of their outstanding warrants expire on March 4, 2025.

Spartan Delta (DALXF) should be reporting some very good Duvernay oil wells this year.

I have "tweaked" my forecast model for KGEI and posted it to the EPG website. This one has a lot of potential "Running Room".
