Dan, you mentioned on the broadcast that oil was $12 dollars per barrel in 1970, in 2024 dollars, that would be $97.14. Oil today is a bargain compared to 1970. The FED's main mission is to stabilize the dollar, since 1913, we have wiped out 97% of the dollar. Ron Paul was correct on getting rid of the Private Bank cartel masquerading as a Federal Bank.

Good point.
I turned 16 in 1970 and purchased my first car, with money I earned working for $1.25/hour. Gasoline was less than $0.25/gallon.

Since I was born (1954) the world's population has more than tripled.

As Matt Iak and I discussed on the webcast, the WTI oil price is in a fairly good and stable price range. Oil demand is seasonal, so I do expect WTI to drift up into the higher 70s in Q2. Much higher natural gas prices are more than offsetting the recent dip in oil prices for all of our Sweet 16 companies.

The best thing that Team Trump can do for the industry is deregulate to lower upstream expenses for useless stuff required by the government, promote more infrastructure building, open more federal land for exploration & development, approve more LNG export facilities, and drop the Tariff threat against Canada.

$1.25 would be $10.35 today, you could do much better at Whataburger or Buc-ee's! .25 cents would be $2.07. I graduated from high school in the Summer of 1970. Invited to take a physical for the draft. My counselor told me I had three choices, "University, trade school or Cambodia."
