Tuesday's Live Chat

Post by dan_s »

If you want me to discuss a certain company, send me an e-mail to let me know. That way I can look at the forecast model before the chat and have more accurate comments.

We had 15 members on today's Live Chat. What did you guys think?

We are trying to post the recorded session but we will only do it if we can figure out how to restrict it to EPG Members Only.

I found the chat most useful. Once it ended I thought of a bunch of other questions. I will be better prepared next time.

For example - do you think that low Price to Cash Flow ratios are simply the result that the market thinks cash flow will be falling?

First, let me say that for future Live Chats it is best to send me questions before the call. That way I will have a chart or slide to address them. I will schedule another Live Chat when I get back from Arizona. I am leaving tomorrow morning for InvestFest conference in Scottsdale then I will be meeting Susan for a few days in Las Vegas. I will be checking the market and our website each day.

The recent dip in the market is all because of confusion over oil prices. We need to see where crude oil prices stabilize. Natural gas prices are clearly going higher.

Keep in mind that all of my Fair Value Estimates now assume $85/bbl for the full-year average and $4.00 for gas.

Me thinks the market does not believe the $85 number. Is another recession coming? That is the issue IMO.
