Propell Technologies Group, Inc. (PROP)

Post by wilmawatts »

Anyone besides Dan have an opinion on this one?

They are using plasma technology to increase crude oil production from marginal oil wells.

Sort of like shooting a ray gun at the oil in place to me, not sure of the technology or the process but it sounds interesting.

Going to lunch next week to hear the story.

Come to the luncheon on Tuesday and the CEO will explain the process. Plasma Pulse is a controlled lightening strike (very small lighting) at the perf zone. Log on to the home page and you can download the PROP presentation slides from their presentation at the EPG luncheon in Houston a couple weeks ago.

Thanks, presentation is impressive. Not sure I understand the process, controlled lightening or not. :)

But the test results are very interesting. For the heck of it bought 7,500 shares today at $0.40.

looks like a roll of the dice to me. very volatile. went public april 2010 in the 10-$15 range and a year later fell to the 5-$10 range. fall accelerated late 2011 to early 2012 to the 20c to $1 range. chart shows somewhat less volatility in 2013.

a buyer might make out by setting a goal and putting in a permanent sell at that goal.

a question for the presenter tuesday might be to explain what happened to cause the down shifts in price. appears to be three: ~jan 2011, late 2011, early 2012.

oh and btw, no analyst following stock according to yahoo.

PROP was basically a public shell when Novas Energy USA merged into it. All price action before the merger is meaningless.

Ask a lot of questions at Tuesday's luncheon.

Difficult to find current financials on the co

Fidelity has no data except mkt cap, which is not real helpful

If it was a shell I wonder who was manipulating the share price and if they are totally out now

Good presentation today in Dallas. Good to see the massive turnout. Hopefully we will have more meetings in Dallas

i stuck my big toe in the water, so to speak. bought a smigen. i wanted to see how the bid and ask were working on limit orders. i would not recommend a mkt order cause the orders are coming in spurts even though volume is decent.

this company is really a startup w/o any orders-- cash flow is non existant. they are on the fringe of getting first orders; their marketing strategy is free processing of wells for 49.5% of production increases. dan has been made a director and will be the main marketing arm via his contacts with the e&p's.

price history prior to feb13 should be ignored. go to their web site for more info and a technical demo of the technology. i would describe it as a giant spark plug setting off a huge electromagnetic wave thru the geological structures in a well to shake loose residual crude.

web site is www.novasenergyusa.com.

btw, dan did say they would have more lunches in dallas. there was about 70 there today--best yet in dallas. most likely he has changed from pet club to double tree for better access.

Well done presentation, interesting potential, but very speculative. I think they will post the presentation to the EPG site if not already.

Dan is on the Board of Directors, you might call or email him direct with questions.

I sat with a field engineer for a well known Texas company and asked afterward what he thought. He said the technology could work, cavitation shock or something was his description, but he said if you have a decent well you won't want to be sticking some Russian tool in your hole. But for marginal stuff you have little to loose, and the physics theory behind the plasma shocks should increase production. He was talking with some of the PROP guys afterward for quite awhile, not sure about what, I was talking to several other folks about the energy sector in general on the other side of the room.

Oklahoma field test will be done in the next several weeks, that should help clear up some of the questions regarding the process.

We had exactly 80 attendees at the luncheon yesterday. Susan sent two walk-ins away at noon because all chairs were already taken.

The PROP presentation slides are available to EPG members on the home page. You must log in to see them.

We already have our next luncheon in Dallas set for Thursday, September 19. We are going to stay at the Doubletree. It has free parking and easy access from anywhere in Dallas. Plus, close to SMU area where we have picked up a lot of new members.

I plan to speak at the next luncheon on the outlook for the U.S. natural gas market.

No more FREE luncheons for non-members in Dallas. Future luncheons will be free for members, $40 for non-members that pre-pay on our website and $50 at the door. We now have close to 80 members in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.
