$110 WTI on the tape

Post by wilmawatts »

Getting to the point where it will start to impact the economy. Watch gasoline prices rise another 10 cents a gallon

Libyan disruption really impacting the sweet light crude market, Brent, and pulling WTI along

Watch what happens to prices when we fire a few missiles into Syria

Oil Spikes Past $110/Barrel, Oasis Petroleum Up on Deutsche Upgrade

Energy producer Oasis Petroleum (OAS) was a notable winner Friday, up $1.48, or 3.5%, to $43.36 in midday trading. Deutsche Bank raised its rating on Oasis Petroleum to Buy from Hold, with a $55 price target, praising its recent acquisition. Analyst Ryan Todd writes that Oasis Petroleum’s announced acquisition in the Bakken is “A double victory for the company as it, 1) significantly increases the core acreage/inventory position available to one of the basin’s best operators for a reasonable price, and 2) reduces/removes the two primary market concerns: core (non-MT) inventory and risk of an expansion outside the basin. Despite some near-term dilution on cash flow metrics, we view OAS as one of the more attractively valued debt-adjusted cash-flow growers, with additional upside from rig acceleration and downspacing/lower benches.”

The Energy Prospectus Group, based in Houston, has a Fair Value Estimate in OAS of $58/share.
