Dec looking very bullish for natural gas

Post by dan_s »

Bastardi: Dec now projected colder than original colder than normal projection-cold now penetrating SE-some models 60% to 65% of nation could now be covered in snow by Christmas-much different winter than last two

Joe has been preparing his energy clients with this increased cold forecast to prepare wells/facilities/pipes

Ohio is one of the prime users of NG for heating.

We have now had our third snow storm of 2013 in NE Ohio and it is still November.

Two years ago we golfed into December. Last year we made it to Thanksgiving. This year - barring a complete change - the season is over. We can play when it is cold - but not when it is cold and wet. Snow on the courses means wet - even if we get a warm day.

Bob

PS: I remember years ago mom saying snow came in December. Well mom - God rest your soul - not this year.

I grew up in St. Louis and can remember a winter when the Mississippi froze and people could walk across. Where is the Global Warming crowd now?

I have said many times that given the choice between Global Warming and Global Cooling, we all want warming. If this world looses more farm land due to a long cold winter there are going to be a lot of hungry people on this planet. Where is Al Gore? Weren't all the polar bears supposed to be dead by now? Amazing to me that so many of the "sheep" fell for that crap.

LOL - here it was people walking across a frozen Lake Erie to Canada. It often ended poorly with ice rescues needed. Such a stunt WAS NOT A GOOD idea.

I can remember walking across the Illinois River on the ice in my early teens (late 1960s) about ten miles north of where it flows into the Mississippi River. This is a larger river with lots of barge traffic. The river was frozen solid as the cracks went all the way to the bottom.

If you've ever seen the Mississippi at St. Louis you know it is a Big River (miles wide) and very deep where it flows in front of the St. Louis Arch. It has to be extremely cold for a long time to freeze.

My father said he remembers the Mississippi freezing several time when he was young.
