Hello Dan, hope things are getting somewhat better for all in your area .
It's bewildering at first, when the water goes down, where do you start?
Your faith in the American people will be restored as the recovery goes on. Trust me.
After Katrina on the MS Gulf Coast every family group I have was homeless due to wind and water.
Christian church groups from places I did not think would care about us came to town and got into
the stinking mess side by side with us to help clean it up. Risking disease from the mold or injury.
They came down here from Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio with one purpose, to help anyone
who needed it. I saw LEO from all parts of the country helping out. Red Cross food kitchens and medical.
We spent Thanksgiving Day 2005 tearing all the sheet rock out of our home and throwing out our stinky
water soaked possessions with a wonderful group of college kids from various Florida universities volunteering on their holiday.
As mega as the Houston tragedy is believe me the heart and soul of America will be coming to help Texas.

The greatness of America will come out to help us next week. We've already seen it. If you have been watching the Weather Channel you know that men with boats from 100s of miles away have come to help in the rescue efforts. They have saved thousands of lives because the police and fire department could not handle this on their own.

If our elected officials (90% in it only for the money) can stop fighting there is no end to what this nation can do. "Leadership" is the most important and rarest commodity on this planet.

Susan & I are blessed to live in one of the neighborhoods with a very good levee system and drainage system.
