Hurricane Irma is now expected to be a DEADLY category 5 hurricane as it approaches Florida next weekend. With luck it will turn north before it reaches Florida, but the entire east coast is at risk. There is still a slight chance that it crosses Florida (very bad if it does) and enters the Gulf of Mexico.
Oil tankers will stay far away from this one. Cat 5 hurricanes produce swells OVER 100 FEET HIGH.
I am expecting a big drop in U.S. liquids inventories over the next few weeks.
