My sister lives in Fort Lauderdale. She said they got a lot of rain and wind, but the worst is now over for them. They just lost one big tree in front of their home. Thank God.
Her husband is recovering from open heart surgery and they decided it was too risky to try to leave. They do live inland in a strong one story home.

Better re-read this one. Your typo gave me a chuckle.
Re: Irma at 6:30 PM CT
Thanks for point that out. I fixed it.
I am so proud of the people in Sugar Land. Our church had 1,700 volunteers show up to help flood victims. They cleaned up over 200 homes. Some of the people have lost everything and contributions are pouring in to help these people get back on their feet. This area is not waiting around for FEMA to help, we are actively getting things cleaned up. Houston Strong!!!
