Natural Gas Demand

Post by dan_s »

As the summer heat spreads, the demand for natural gas increases. Texas is #1 for consuming natural gas for power generation and we are in for a long hot summer in the Lone Star State.

See: http://www.celsiusenergy.net/p/intraday-weather.html

From the beginning to the end of June there will be a big drop in the amount of gas going into storage. If natural gas in storage is still 500 Bcf below the 5-year average at the end of June, I will be stunned if we don't see a bidding war start between the utility companies for gas supply. They MUST increase gas in storage in key cities across the nation before the next winter heating season begins.
