From Susan, EPG's Cruise Director:
Our Group excursion on the EPG 2019 cruise will be in Belize.
I have arranged for this tour to be private for our group. We will be picked up just outside the cruise terminal and transported into the rain forest area where we will do cave tubing.
We will start off with about a 20 minute hike through the jungle to the cave entrance. Various plant and animal life along the way will be pointed out by our guides. We will float on inner tubes through large caverns. After our tubing is concluded, we will be able to change clothes and proceed to the Belize Zoo, home to over 175 animals. The animals were orphaned, rescued, born at the zoo or rehabilitated. We will experience a personal encounter with either a toucan, a jaguar or a tapir (google it!). We will also have lunch at the zoo.
The tour price of $85.00 per person includes the transportation, cave tubing, zoo admission, encounter experience and lunch.
We will be returned to the cruise terminal at the end of the excursion. The total tour price will be paid on the day of the excursion in U.S. dollars. We will need to bring a change of clothing, a towel provided by RCL, comfortable water hiking shoes, sun block, water-proof camera if desired, and a little bit of cash if you wish to shop at the zoo (you cannot purchase the jaguar, however. Royal Caribbean is stuffy about these things).
Please let me know if you wish to participate in this excursion. Dan and I have done the cave tubing before and it was great fun and required no special physical ability (in other words, it was a perfect match for me!)
Susan always picks an excursion that is sure to be a lasting memory.
RCL has informed us that the Liberty is now over 90% sold out for the week of our next cruise, February 3-10. February is the PEAK of Caribbean Cruise Season.
