It s/b noted that ~88% of the "Active Cases" are classified as "mild". Many of those are people who are now virus free, but the U.S. and other Western governments are being super cautious and not allowing the patients to go home.

Worldwide, there have been about 4,400 coronavirus deaths, out of about 122,000 identified cases. Flu, by comparison, grimly reaps about 291,000 to 646,000 deaths annually.
