An early-season winter storm will continue to spread snow and ice from the Rockies into parts of the Plains through Tuesday.
This weather system has been named Winter Storm Billy by The Weather Channel.
The storm is bringing snow to parts of the southern Rockies, Central Plains and to Missouri. Significant ice is accreting in central Oklahoma where a mixture of freezing rain and sleet continues to fall.
A damaging ice storm is ongoing in Waukomis, Oklahoma, located 55 miles north-northwest of Oklahoma City. At least a half inch of ice has accumulated there. Several accidents have occurred in the Oklahoma City metro area due to slick roads.
